hi

got another dash wiring for a eb2/ed fairmont 6 cyl and plugged a bit of it in and plugged the trip computer and climate control panel and smartlock and bem in and when you put the key in only part of the dash works

the batt and oil gauge is on no matter what key position and fuel gauge is normal no warning lights on the dash clock on trip computer works but light glows all times when it should be only glowing on accs and ign.

smartlock light doesnt flash and remote doesnt work neither does the lock/unlock button

did some repairs on the engine bay wiring havent finished yet will probably rip it out and change it to another eb2/ed fairmont one and just convert to ef/el fuse links and slip conduit on the wiring

Well the smartlock light not flashing is interesting but when you install a new smartlock module in your car you need to put the key onto the 'on' position for 30mins so it'll pair with your ignition. But I don't know what it means if its not even flashing. Is the globe plugged in? It runs a separate LED globe that plugs in right in the bottom right (if you're looking at the back of the cluster)

For the oil pressure guage, if you're coming from a low series cluster that doesn't have the oil pressure guage you'll need to install a oil pressure sender istead of the oil pressure switch that low series cars had installed in the engine.

You also need to pair the remote with the smartlock. See the techdocs - I can't remember off the top of my head.

You've probably already thought of all those!

Good luck
Jacob
