cheers fuzion - i got the car with a tickford rocker cover already - so thats sorted

it was more so with the PS pump cover etc - i do give it a spray with the interior polish stuff i have, but i was looking for something to keep it like that 24/7 - nothing really works i'm assuming?

although i am inspired by neo_nicks effort, and i'm sourcing some argon silver paint to color-code some of the engine bay :P

Very clean original look such as timmeh's effort (nice job by the way)

I must confess my avatar is not my engine bay unfortunately. I found it on a Ford site somewhere. I like it because its an EF XR6 like I got.
Mine is clean but nothing like that. Please dont hate me
Sorry but I cant help but hate you. Not because of this though.

I plan to get a spare rocker changed as i said (thanks to jase for donor again) but unsure of colour as not much goes with it unfortunately..

You can spray your power steering cover into whatever colour you want, even a gloss black again so it has a nice shine always. Problem with armourall protectant is that it wears off as well, it'll only be shiny for so long, excluding wet weather killing it etc.

But for show or for a week it'll hold up usually.

Ring ford if your unaware of the paint code colour or put a thread up..

i've actually got the original rocker cover here too - so i was thinking about having a go with that & seeing what i could come up with when i have some spare time.

my intake tubing is about to change to a custom red mandrel intake, so its really only things like the brake booster, PS pump cover etc that i'd be doing - i found repco/super-s**t autos etc stock spray cans of paint codes from ford/holden/toyota etc - but typically all 3 were sold out of argon silver

so clear-coat wouldn't work on its own?

so a plastic primer & then clear coat? would it be worth taking the extra step & color coding too? :?
