ok not for a few months(proper r+d takes time)

basicly, get a bunch of seats made, that kinda look like the BF/HSV/FPV/etc sports seats.. nice and huggy(like ya nan) but upholstered in your cars stock trim(grey leather for me) so it matches the rest of the car.

im getting sick of the EL GHIA 1-person-bench-seat pews where if ya hook into a corner you go flying into the door/centreconsole etc. (cant use left foot as brace coz its manual)

any takers? suggestions? anyone know good trimmers willing to adapt/mod seats? how much would you be willing to spend? got any ideas for design? and good pics to send to the trimmer?

what we could do is get a couple of crappy gli seats and get two peoples seats worked on at a time so when u pick up u drop off the gli seat for the next guy. that way u can still drive ur car while the seats at the shop.

post yer comments -

the e30 m3 is the closest to what i want, coz the lines match 90s cars and the seats of the time. cut the seat off where the harness holes are, and stick the headrest on there..

Hate to say it but the Senator seats look most comfy.
But any of the GT-P, Senator and E30 seats look good for me.
I reckon I'm in. I've got spare seats at the moment too.
I'll take the ones out of my EL XR8 and use them to get worked on while my EF Fairmont Ghia leather/velour seats can do into the car until the seats are finished.

Is this going to be for both front seats not just the drivers one?

Anyways I'm in.

also these-

http://www.vanseats.com.au/products/sports/sports.html

coz its out of the box tho, i duno if theyd adapt them to our bases.. personally i want to keep the base so the height adjuster/recliner stays 100% stock. ie to make it a EL sports seat. not just an aftermarket bolt-in.

tim: im probs goin drivers first, coz moneys too tight to mention. but yeh if ya want two im sure that can be arranged.

actually arent your XR seats good enough? or do you want some shoulder support aswell? from the pics they looked half alrite to me.

not wanting to postwhore too much more, the e30 recaros are best. the shoulders are nice without being huge like the senator/fpv. those look too modern to me, but hey we see. maybe theres a place that can offer multiple designs..

The XR seats arent as buckety as you think. I'd rather have bigger bolsters and thigh support on the sides. Also while they are doing the recover and shape I need new headrest supports that go into the seat frame because all mine on the front seats are busted.
