Wondering if anyone's come across this before. I Have an EL XR8, when running the air con on hot days and put the fan speed on 3, starts to run erratic after a while. The fan sound like it's surging. It starts coming on and off. Only does it on the number 3 setting. any help would be appreciated.

check the blower resistor, it may have a bad connection or something just in the #3 settings...its located behind the glovebox but beyond that i can't really help u without looking at a car... its been a while...

I'd agree the resistor assy is more likely the problem - have a look at http://www.fordmods.com/forums/viewtopi ... highlight= as well.
