was driving around last night... and all of a sudden i lost all of my heating :?

so i put the C/C in diagnostics mode, and up come "E2". :evil: :evil: :evil:

this is just f**k great, im trying to sell my car, and now this s**t happens :evil:

i have absolutely no idea how to replace the blend door motor either...

its not that hard to take a dash out once youve done it 3 or 4 times...:)

Replacing blend door motor without removing bid black box is more interesting... :D

You can test the BDM motor and feedback resistor from the dash unit plugs - see the tech doco pinouts.
Might be just a poor connection on the dash unit plugs.

hope so. i did the diagnostics a few times and it came up with E2 all the time :?

mine s**t iteslf with this to..

where do you get a blend door motor? i rang up ford but they wanted $250 for just the motor and the wreckers wanted $140!!! wtf i thought you could get them new from ford for like $70

all fixed now. f**k going to ford and getting a new one.. i found the pin outs for the motor of the tech doco and got a 12v battery and sent the motor a bit of juice and that got it unstuck and now its working perfect, no more e2 errors like i was constantly getting before.

Dude.... how do i access these "pin out" codes?? Or the "E2" code?? I purchased a sweet as '97 DL LTD about a week ago, everything works sweet but got no heat!!! Pls help guys as i'm madly trying to savvy up on all this techo crap!!!! :? My last ride was a '81 Bronco so i got some catchin up to do :D

Have a read of this technical document to get the E2 code via the Diagnostics Mode of the CC.

If you don't get an E2 code then your blend door motor is fine. If that's the case, check the heater tap in the engine bay...vacuum hose may have come off or heater tap is stuck closed or heater tap is just broken.

Bad news guys.... I did the self test and got E2!!! Damn it! But worse still... now my climate control screen has s**t itself and now i have no display at all... does this sound familiar?? Please help, i'm drowning here!!!
