I installed a NF cluster to my EF GLi. I havnt put the oil pressure sender in yet nor have i got the door sensors.

It makes this beeping sound after about 30 seconds. I cant work out why it is doing it.

Is it because of the door sensors but that wouldnt make sense.

Does anyone have any idea's, its s**t me.

Hit it with a hammer.

My guess is it thinks the doors are open.

It doesnt think the doors are open, it thinks that there are no doors al together. The lights flash open and closed because there are no sensors. So i might see if i can get the sensors tomorrow and if not im going to fit a loom with 180 ohm resistors in it so the cluster thinks the doors are closed.

Ohh and i was going to hit it with a hammer. From aberfoyle to outerharbour and back with a beeping cluster.....ARRGH the radio was damn loud

Does it beep when the cars not running?
Dazzat had the same problem, it was the doors/fuel flap warning.
No oil sender will beep if that cars running with no oil pressure signal.

Beeps constantly. I have a feeling it may be some of the globes are out. I didnt put them all back in.

Ill take out the coolant one andmake sure the rest are in.

i had the same problem when i put a nf cluster in my ef. it is the self leveling suspension light. the cluster needs that light to be in and have a good bulb in it otherwise it just keeps beeping.

i took the light out and moved it so i could have the foglight warning work and the cluster just kept beeping, put the light back where it was and all was fine, so i just bought a new light for the foglight warning.

Snap, you amaze me sometimes with your recall, either that or you have a better grasp of the search facility than I.

It still took me a while Tony - I'd suspect what Matti suggested in that thread will be the most likely cause.

Ill get the cluster out today and see if its the SLS light. I need to replace a few globes at the same time. I might also take that friggin coolant light out so it stops flashing at me.
