Nice one Rod - you've done good bloke - looks tops
As for fuel flap sensor...I believe you can use one from an EB / EBII Ghia as well from same era fairlanes / LTD's...can't remember if ED Ghias got the same fuel flap sensors though *shrugs*. Good luck with it - it's not difficult, just time consuming Cheers, Steve |

you would be better off just putting in the entire body loom out of a fairlane - everything would be all there for you!!

It sure is. Best bet would be to find a wreck and cut off the matching LTD plugs for the cluster otherwise you will need to pull out the Ford bible and pull the original plugs apart and physically select the individual wires and connect them to the matching LTD cluster's sockets which is a very very long and time consuming effort.

yeah, was a half hour job soldering the wires from my loom to the right wires on the fairlane plug! funnily enough they were the same colours.. so it was piss easy
just gotta do the doors/fuel flap! hey vic.. i see ur boot is red! my boot aint flashing red.. does this mean its already hooked up?? or does my cluster not have this feature ?? gotta test this when i get back to my car.. currently 'studying' for my exams

All LTD clusters have this feature, you just have to wire up your boot too. Fortunately it doesn't require a switch, it just runs off the 12v.

All Fairlane and LTD clusters have the boot open pic; its good i rekon, more usefull than the doors in that case, so is the fuel door.
Only problem is that it doesnt show the bonnet open lol; not that its really opened without noticing or by accident aye.

On my righthand boot hinge is a thick black cable for the boot release which has three wires contained within, I think they were purple, black and white. Splice a cable into the white wire and run that all the way down to the dash cluster and into pin 8 of the 12 pin plug. That's it.
