It should work. It's how I wired mine up and certainly Xyphoid's tech doco indicates the same pin out for the bootlid switch. Did your boot hinge cable set have the three colored wires? The only thing I can think of is that your model is not wired the same as a Ghia?

yeah, it has the three wires! maybe i just put it in the wrong pin somehow lol... i dont think so though!
