Its funny, having one for past 5 yrs n not really noticing HOW good they look really; really a very nice simple yet classy looking unit! lol

Good work; try installing the door ajar switches properly than just making it think they are closed as its a very useful neat feature.

Do grandpa's have trouble determining if their doors are closed or not?

Seriously though, if you got the feature install it properly.

Its actually more for people who are new to your car, i often have friends who havnt been in my car before and they dont shut door porperly or the rear doors dont get shut poeperly after i clean the inside of my car (i hate slamming doors) and this lets you know when you forget to check or if you didnt close it properly while cleaning n forgot to re close it.

Once you have the feature you will love it.
And as for grandpa, well my fairlane aint not grandpa car anymore.

Mine cost me $5, but that was a lucky find :D
You can have a look at http://www.partsfind.com.au/ there's a few NF/NL Fairlanes listed, ring around the wreckers listed.
