g'day cobber
I'm currently modding a na lcd cluster to go in an f150 I'm making custom circuit boards to back light the lcd's with 8 5mm led's and a cut-up bit of diffuser from a fluro light for each lcd panel to make sure the backlighting is even. nothing worse than bright and dull patches. [/code]

cluster is a spare I picked up through one of the fine members of this site. I doubt an auto elec would try modding the cluster they'd brobebly just use those narva led replacement globes. they might work alright but I think their narrow beam would produce uneven light.
the fairlane in the pic will be next providing this mod works out fine that'll be blue. when I get it done i'll post some progress pics providing it all works. ( bit worried about the car outline pannel as I had to cut the polerising film out from under the truck outline as it was alot squarer than the car and a bit bigger but the 2 doors should workstill. what I'm doing isn't hard some led's and breadboard with some basic soldering skills is all that's needed just a matter of having the time to consentrate on one thing.
