When i start my car often the accesories dont come on but jiggling the key and turning it back and forth makes them come on. This leads me to believe that i have a faulty ignition switch as it has trouble making contact. Does that mean that i need to replace my whole barrel and have a second key to start my car with cos that seems like a hassle or is there an easier solution?

Could this be moved to 6 Cylinder Workshop?? Also apparently the barrel is seperate from the switch. The switch goes over the whole steering column. Is this correct??

yes, barrel is removed with a small punch/drill bit etc.
and switch is clamped to the steering mast. you'll need a punch to loosen the tamper bolts or drill them out. other than that... its plug and play (you'll need to program ur smartlock also.)
