wherever you want, but if it's not too big, it might be better in the cabin where you can get to it quickly

In front of the passeners seat at the front.
Its in easy reach for emergencies, but wont get in the way, or get under you feet if it comes lose. I used to sell brackets for it ages ago.

If its in the boot you may not be able to get to it quick enough, in the cab would be better. Ive got mine up against the passanger side of the firewall covered with my carpet on 2 pull down velcro tabs

mines on my rear parcel shelf between the speakers....might be in strife if it comes loose when braking heavy....might cop it in the back of the head or through the windscreen....

Anyone with the dry chem/powder extinguishers in their car, take em out every 6 months or so, give em a tap if you cant hear the powder moving inside, the powder compacts after a while, and if you let it off, it wont work, a lot of people over look this point.

Do the fire extinguishers come with any brackets at all if you wanted to mount it just in front of the seat? Or do you always need to customize a bracket?

best spot is definetly in front of the FRONT PASSENGER seat, use the two front seat bolts to mount a bar which you can mount the extinguisher holder onto to avoid drilling into the body work..
Couldnt be simpler.

what do you need one for. Seriously what the hell can start a fire...its not like we are running rocket fuel and got no exhaust system, i just cant see the point of having one other than that they look good and put a race touch to the car.

all ud need it a fluid leak insie the cabin, say a heater hose and a little spark from shorting... its not that unconcieveable. Ever had a power steering hose burst? get that onto ur extractors and watch it go up!
