A 1kg extiguisher is only 35 bucks or so, from K Mart etc. A extinguisher will be a bit suss without tag/pin.

cheers for the reply guys, its a brand new extinguisher but in motor sport you need to have a tag on it that says its been tested every year or so. Its something cams make you do. Anyway i will try ring someonle like chubb or wormald.

every 6mths it should be serviced.
turn it upside down whilst placing it next to your ear and listen for the powder to drop down you might need to slap it a few times with your hand to loosen up the powder. every 3 years it should be presure tested it'll have the last time it was presure tested stamped on it somewhere usally around the neck or base. your best most likely cheapest way out would be to go to your local chubb/wormalds fire protection depot and wander in and speak to one of the techs early in the morning before they leave for the day my brother in-law used to work for wormalds and he was always selling extinguishers on the sly |
