Ummm, dont know if its the same as Adelaide, but i heard that the a baby seat in the car had to be checked by an authority, and its about the same price as getting someone qualified to fit it for you from the hospital... is that correct?

I dont think thats the case here in S.A....
We take the baby seat out about 3 times a week - so our sons grandma can use it.
Id be stuffed if I had to get a qualified person to do it each time.
As long as you hook it in correctly - its not hard.
and its my sons life im dealing with. so its not like I just throw it in the car, every time i fit it, i am very cautious...

but I have heard stories of other states having to have it fitted by a pro...

i move em in and out etc all the time. the middle is best both for safety and so you can see the tike and he can see you. Once they get bigger you want a semi trailer and put them right at the back

If you are confident, you don't need to get it installed by a professional. Just mke sure you hook it into the eye properly each time you do it :)

If it's behind a seat, it:

Must not be behind an airbag (so mine is behind passenger seat)
There must be a 10cm gap between baby seat and car seat.

There is a website full of great info, but have gone totally blank (lack of sleep)

How old is your little man?

the side harness points will be under your speakers, i had 6x9's in a ef & they covered them.. i have my daughter on the passenger side cause its a pain to get her in & out of the middle of a lowered car :(, but will prob move her back to the centre once she can climb in herself..
