For anyone who would like to fit an AU Momo shifter to an EF it can be done. I was told by all and sundry that these shifters were not compatible, and for all intents and purposes this is correct, but for those of you who just won't take no for an answer (like me) then some modifications will have it working just like a factory EF shifter, and if you have the matching Momo wheel it looks great. I am going to take some pictures and post the appropriate instructions within the week if anyone is interested.

about 6 or so months ago i already did this, although i have the AU3 xr8 momo wheel (black/grey) and then got the black momo leather stitched knob onto the ef knob so it matches the wheel along with black stitched handbrake and charcoal suede centre console lid .. so already done but without the oddly looking au knob! lol

Fuzion (or anyone), where did you get this wheel and how much did you pay. I want one and just got quoted $917.00 from Fraud for one, although they guy did say he would do $800 as it was pretty steep. Still a bit too much for me.... any help?

Thanks for the comments guys, I have taken pictures today of my handy work, all I need now is for someone to host them as I have just found out telstra no longer provides me with my free web page.

And Fuzion, sorry I wasn't trying to one up you, I just couldn't find anything in the forum that explained how to do it. Also like Disco Frank, I too like the AU shifter more than the EF because it is longer and IMO much sportier looking.

Go onto ebay, there are usually ones going for no more than $400.

Anyone who wants to see the pictures and a copy of my instructions email me at mjcatton@bigpond.net.au and I will send them. Otherwise I will put them up once I have sorted out my webhosting problem with telstra.
