Hi all,

I know this has been done before but I have read bits and pieces and am confused......

I know the bits I need (bulb holder, bulb, figure 8 wire), and run the wires somewhere....thats where I am stuck.

I found the docs for the EL but no mention of AU. Are they correct wires in the same place behind the ciggie lighter in the AU as well? Cause I can't see them....

Also, where the hell is the switch on the AU door surrounds so the damn thing knows when the door is opened? I was just gunna tap into that but can find nothing that looks like it.

hah yer thats what i was going to do BUT the au have a door swtich inside somewere!

liek i said in the pm use the dome lamp +ve wire and run a earth to a metal body part or give me some time and will get the wiring diag and find out what coloured wire u need in the bcm

Thanks guys - the problem is finding the right wire (colour and location) on the AU to hook it up to.

I know WHAT needs to be done, the question is really WHERE I get the right wires to do it....

Wire up to cigar lighter - runs the same circuit as the rear passenger courtesy light located @ the rear of the centre console.

Cig lighter has positive and negative. Negative is usually black or dark colour so try the other one.
