Gday guys is it possible for me to wire up my footwell lights to only come on when a door is opened when the lights are on? Also what about if only the lights are on? Is either possible or should i just hook them up the normal way? Cheers.

Yes. When the doors are opened it is possible to wire them up so when the lights come on.

Yes. If you turn on the interior light you can wire them up so they come on.

Thats how the normal way works.

i think he is asking if he can fit one - and yes, you can either get a globe and fitting out of a ford or from ford or get one that fits from d**k - I did the latter!!

Wire the footwell lights to the side light power.
Then they will only come on when you have your lights on.
But when its dark and you come to your car and open the door no footwell lights because you have not put your lights on. Rather defeats the purpose I think You could wire them into your BEM interior light circuit so when you predd your door open remote the footwell and interior lights come on.
