G'day all,
I know theres a tech document on the site, just wanted to ask for an EF/EL is that the only way, a friend of mine did his wiring from the headlamp (the one on the roof). I know its a simple modification, but as i said is this the only way. Cheers. |

Wouldn't mind doing it as per tech doc, Its not possible to stuff anything up is there? Cause I'm horrible at soldering. Might ask my mate how he did it, just ran wires from the top light, I did reliaze it was a tiny bit dimmer than mine, but I plan to chuck a blue bulb in there, I don't wan it to look like I'm in some sort of portable gay bar though. But will match the dash and stereo nicely.
Cheers for the replies fellas. |

running wires to the overhead light is possibly the hardest way to do it.
soldering isnt too hard so long as you use decent solder wire. i was using some cheap s**t, and it was working out well, bought some decent stuff from Jaycar, and the difference was huge. i just cut the globe sockets from some old looms, then soldered them to some speaker wire, and spliced into the wires of the centre console loom below radio surround. took max 30mins all up. |

I did it as per tec doc, and being a car audio enthusiast you would think i would solder my connections but i didnt. Twisting and some decent heat shrink tubing will work just fine.
