Nice pickup on the seats, now just to get yourself the fronts.
and with the Icc etc, have you considered making it active or even just fitting climate control and setting it up behind it, or even a carputer setup?

atm im concentrating on getting the rear seats fitted before i worry about the front... you'll see when ive got planned for the ICC...
The bottom Part of the seat was pretty easy it looks ok with the ba cover over the AU seat... will be able to fix it up by attaching the top half of the BA foam to the low AU half... The back supports are mounted completely different, The AU has four brackets (2 each half) at the back which bolt straight back into the frame The BA has a bar straight through (Left to right) with a support bracket between the to sides, on the edges the bar slots down into brackets mounted to the wheel archs still working on a solution...

Why BA rear seats are not easy to put in a AU
(I have not put them in the misses BA and have decided to get the ebay fake leather covers) have a few pics of it all... the BA falcon is around 5cms longer than the AU and if you look from the side most of this length is just in front of the wheel arch The metal floor under the rear seat is about 5/6cm's lower in the AU than the BA As in previous post. the mounting point for the back rest are completely different and are not interchangeable (Welded not bolted on) The latch positions are different Here are a few pics to show the differences in the floor plans this is just a pic of the seats sitting in there, not mounted or leveled at all AU<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< ----- >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>BA Note the height difference compared to the water bottle

Very interesting read for the AU vs BA. I seem to remember a fellow here who did a full BA interior conversion into a EL. For the life of me I cant seem to find the thread here. Can anyone remember it or point me in the right direction?
It will be good to see the finished product.

well guys if finally found a positive.... the mounting points are exactly the same on each side of the dash but that looks like the only familiar mounting point for the dash...
AU 1870mm Wide BA 1864mm Wide (According to redbook.com) so i think i should be fine using these mounting points... as theres more than 3mm between a BA dash and door trims on each side the mounting points up on the dash below the windscreen are completely different... the BA uses a clip type think on each side and a bolt in the middle... the AU uses 5? bolt along the dash top (1 is the main dash earth tho) the Silver is a BA Fairmont Dash (thanks to kenay) the white is my AU look exactly the same but im not sure where the 6 mm is lost or measured from?

Dash Conversion Has Finally Started
an overall before short for future reference and a few parts a few bits and the fascia being modded to accommodate fit a single din, AU heater Controls and buttons modded to work (4 lower buttons will be A/C, Rear Demister, Interior Lights, Central Locking) im working on a circuit to make the A/C switch cycle the a/c... if i wire it straight up i would have to hold it in to get the A/C on when im after a toggle type switch... iv also got all the back lights figured out to... and the parts you can see hack sawed are a old rooted set of heater Controls that using for testing kenays going to give me a hand fibreglassing it back into one peace... im going to turn the old screen hole into a GPS holder... a 4.3" gps will fit in there nicely

a bit of progress... before you say that dash is missing a heap of s**t and has a few dints etc. its not the actual dash ill be using (i think its out of a BA futura?). picked this up for free of a mate of a mate lol... its purely for me to suss out what works and what doesn't... so i got the top half of the dash and the frame from behind it...
Positives - Dash Frame lines straight up with the wholes near the door jams - Top of dash fits snug up against the windscreen Negatives - Steering Wheel Brackets (that hold it up to the dash) and different widths apart (i think i should be able to mix and match the ba and au steering columns) - Some of the BA Dash Frame Has to be bent to fit in because of the au heater box... Pics...
