Just a quick one guys, are the power window regulators from the rear doors on an EL swappable with the front regulators?? My drivers window has carked it and i cant afford $320 to have it replaced right now.

Whats happened is the cable has come out of the bracket that the window bolts onto. I have fixed that with my own custom 'cable holders", if you will. But somehow the cable has unlooped from the spool inside the motor assembly and there is too much slack. I cant get inside the motor so it looks like its destined for the bin...

Mate i dont give a rats figs if its genuine or not, as long as it goes up and down so i dont have to order my food in the HJ's drive thru through my rear window lol! :D

Do you know if the rear reg's are interchangable with the front? I can live without a rear window that doesnt go up or down.

This is something I will be needing to do very soon too because my drivers side window is making a clunking sound when I hit the auto down button. The little white plastic thingy has snapped off up near the window sill. Be interested to know what sort of aftermarket items there are and what they go for.

All in without a hitch, the only thing that i will have to do is pump a crapload of grease into the regulator as it sounds like it is grinding and is having a bit of trouble lifting the window. But ill just assume now that it is just 'wearing in'.

Heres some pics...

I would guess they would be different. As the e-series Falcons had the same doors throughout they would have the same internals yah? AUs had new doors and id imagine all the moving bits would have been changed, plus BA doors are the same as AU's from memory. Just a guess...
