uhh k. thanks
so that means whoever done the wiring for my cd player wired the player upto that... is it meant to be 15a ?? i will change it if so. i cant see the interior light being a problem to the fuse blowing so it must be in the cd player wiring.

If it started blowing after you changed something then chances are that's it.

What was the result of this?! Mine was a 10amp and has just started blowing after that batt went flat.
I left my lights on, and my neighbour knocked on the door and said my car was "ticking". We went outside, and there was a sound of a relay ticking away, so I opened the driver's door, and it stopped. Figured the last bit of current was drawn from the interior light wanting to come on. I jump started it, and since then my radio won't remember preset stations, and the interior lights don't work. I realise that this must be the "constant" power is busted, so I checked the RED 10 amp fuse, and it was blown. Went to replace it, and it arc'd a little and it popped too.. wtf is going on? Car is stock as, nothing has changed, just the batt when flat. |

CD players have to positive feeds, one permanent (for the clock/memory) and one switched (comes on with ACC/reds). The CRT LP fuse is usually the circuit that is used for the permanent power to the stereo, and the rad/cig lighter fuse is the one that is used so that the radio comes on when it does. I know that this is how it is in my EF, and I cant remember how my EB was, but I think that it was the same.

CRT LP is basically permanent power for all the internal accessories. The IGN fuse, as well as being needed to start the car, controls the on/off for most of the accessories, as well as the cig lighter.
