Hello people,I have a EL wagon and want to do the interior up.I have read in hear somewhere that the fairmont ghia interior wont fit in the wagon because it is longer than sedan adnd that I would have to go with the fairlane interior,is there any truth in this.Thanks.

fairlanes are built on teh station wagon wheel base - so yes they are longer cars

It's just the upper part of the backseat that doesn't fit - but can with a bit of modification (and isn't that what Fordmods is all about?!)

fairlane interior would be easier to fit. as modding the brackets on the seat back is not easy.

NOT EASY!!!!

DAMN f**k STRAIGHT!!!!

5hrs to do teh back seat alone, and I still havent finsihed the interior.

By the way, I have DL rear seat frame available if you want to just swap or recover some fabric onto them.

Happy to get them out of my house. PM me if your interested.

I have an EF Fairmont wagon with awesome velour interior. It makes the car IMO.

Maybe thats an option for you..

isnt the rear seat backrest on wagons a totally different design to the sedans? (both swb and lwb)

Velour is an option just got to find decent colour to match the interior might even change the whole colour scheme by painting dash new carpets etc

i think they arent as tall or something maybe?
coz they def aint as comfrotable!!!

i got a ea ghia interior into a ea wagon with no dramas at all, as previously mentioned just had to modify the brackets a little bit to get it to fit

Yeah my dad had an EL Fairmont wagon. Damn that thing was cumfy. Velour like ambers and really nice to sit, could drive for hours and not get a sore bum.
Looked good aswell, so maybe that is also something you could consider.

at the end of the day either will be ok just a bit of modifying back seat what would look better f/mont ghia or f/lane ghia.Havent seen the f/lane ghia interior yet
