ok guys i am planning (again) to have another go at running my wires PROPERLY. Just wondering how to f**k remove the back seat of the EF? i read in the workshop manual and according to that u need about 5 knees and about 500 pairs of hands anyone know of an easier way to remove the back seats in an EF?
Also while i have the front seats out, will the carpet just lift out?

Are you talking aboutt he reat seat base cushion or the bolsters or the seat backs?
The east cushion basically just slides out afaik with a bit or persuasion, just make sure u have the seat buckes unclipped from the base or it wont really go anywhere lol. There carpet should lift out with the front seats/console out - also you will need to remove the door plastic sills to reveal the crapets edge. Ive had my carpet out at the front, and its easy enough.. Hope that helps somewhat.

just pull on the bastard! lol its got a few 'hooks' underneath, so you need to give it a good pull, and it should come out... i had the same issue - dont be scared, just yank the bastard out!

Exactly, but as i said make sure the seat buckles arent still in there little slips attached to the back of the seat base itself! Be suprised with what you find under your seat, ive many good and bad stories about what is found.. lol Nothing behind either of mine

ok so the side cushions, just pull straight out or do i need to push back then up then out or up then out or what?
I am guessing that the backs are bolted in from the sides somewhere? The base i need to push back then up correct?

I am guessing that the backs are bolted in from the sides somewhere? The base i need to push back then up correct? there is a 10mm bolt for the side bolsters at the bottom, the push them up, and they will release off their hooks - opp to put back in - hook them in, and push down. as for the back seats, once you have removed the bottom, you will see 6-8 x 10mm bolts at the bottom - easy as to remove. even if you fold them right down, and remove the carpet which overlays from the boot lining, you should find the bolts necessary to remove

okey dokey got the rear seat out without too much trouble, btw, the seat back are only held in by the top bolts that are underneath the carpet lining, i think from memoery there was 7 or 8 and then they just lift off.
NOW next prob i have "discovered" is that i went to remove the front seats and what this f**k anti-tamper screws now i dont know how much for a "bit" to remove these as i went to repco and they said either from ford (expensive) or tool shop (also $$$) so is there anyone near me that i could borow one off

you need a T-50 torx head screw bit - lovely little bastards helps having a mate whos a mechanic! lol but you can get them from repco/coventrys etc - went around to Happy's yesterday to use his to swap my steering wheel over - he paid $27 or so for his - not cheap for a once-off!
