hey all
*might* finally get off my lazy a***, and fit the ghia courtsey lamps i've had sitting in my room for a few months - now, my question is, whats the best way to get the wire from the door, through the slinky pipe, and into the car? where do those wires come through to? i don't want to rip everything apart & not be able to find the wires 
i've been suggested that using a BBQ skewer with the wire taped to it isn't too bad a method... sound reasonable? lol this post is as much to make me get off my a*** this weekend & actually do it, as well as doing my high series cluster & a few other things

try something like a coat hanger but make sure the sharp point is a little bluntend so you dont put a hole in the rubber boot. and dont force it take your time. i think that how i doen mine cant remember.

Hmmm maybve I should do muine as well then. Mine are cappucino though so another paintjob coming up.

hmmm - will have to get the cordless drill out & actually do some work i think this weekend

although i might do mine like that other guy did.. with a couple LED's across the bottom -looked awesome

Best thing for getting wires through anywhere in a car is the curtain wire your mum uses for here net curtains. Very flexible but you can push and pull easily. Use a screw in loop on the end and you wont damage anything.
Always have about 3 foot of it in my tool chest.

Always have about 3 foot of it in my tool chest. Hmm intersting thought. Fras are yours self holding ie out of the door trims now? How are you going to hold them in, cut the hole a tad smaller then normal? |

I paid 40 each for mine new from ford, and they come in sets of 3???. Any way, you will need at least a jig saw, as the door trims are the toughest things i have come across to cut. Also, when you turn the trim over the hole is maked , you can but the clips from ford(no idea what cost) or cheat and use a hot melt glue gun, then it wont come off hehehe

pics of the end result would be fantastic btw where do you hook the wires up to then? im assuming something the same as the interior light, but where would u find these wires? colours etc

lol i'll get pics when we get it done
started on the weekend, but fitting of the high-series cluster, and the fuel pump took longer than expected, so didn't get to finish them off. they will be done this weekend though! i'm running the wires through the slinky door tubing and wiring them into the footwell lamps
