hello ford modders i went to the wreckers today to get a el fairmont cluster and when i picked it up was actually a EL CHASER!!!!!! only $55 what a bargain!!!! can someone tell me what the EL chaser is worth as i believe it is rear i have seen ef chasers but never a el chaser

police car speedo, in increments of 2k's instead of 5 or 10, whatever ours are, it's cool and all, some people froth over them i guess.
i'm not sure if any other differences.

also instead of diagnostics mode it has a speedo calibration ill link yas to a doc about the diff clusters

yeah the face of them the speedo goes up in 2 kms at a time and you can put it into diag mode and calibrate the speedo to the size of your wheels/diff ratio but other than that its a fairmont/xr6 cluster, you can print off the police cluster gauge readings and fit it to a fairmont cluster but it wont have the speedo calibration

Bought an AU Chaser speedo from a wreckers today they had no idea what it was and had no needles so they gave it to me for $20, got it home put the needles off of mine onto it and it works a treat :D haha

doesnt the au chaser have 6 gauges like the ef and el chaser?

EL chasers fetch a fair bit more than EF.

I've a couple of them, and expect around $200 a piece. (under 120,000k's)

my el chaser has 148000 works perfectly

Not sure, it was out of a s2 or 3 wreck but a previous owner may have put it in there from a s1. Deff a chaser has the calibration function and says police next to the serial number.
