they're normally mounted on the left side if the dash.
I hate them with a passion though. There's no way to make a car look ricer. Its not a pice of jap crap, you don't need to have all those gauges to check on stuff cause you know it'll be right anyway.

Not quite, im actually in the process (almost started) of fitting another couple of gauges to my EB. Ive had enough problems, and am glad of the gauges ive got, but id like a few more. It cant hurt to know whats going on inside the engine.

What sort of gagues? Lets take my EF.
Dash has a tacho, so dont need one of them. Put a high series cluster in and you dont need oil or volt meters. Need to keep an eye on your engine temp, enter diagnositc mode. I am in the process of wiring driving lights for work to a rear wiper switch in a sedan just to avoid looking like a d**k with massive aftermarket gagues. I just dont see the need for it when Ford tells you that stuff anyway. |

There was a thread about this not so long ago. Find it and you'll see the pictures of mine.

Yes you do.... If you are running a turbo on your Falcon then a boost gauge is necessary.

It would have to be somewhere within easy sight of a concentrating driver wouldn't it?

Pity you can't project it onto the windscreen like a fighter pilot's HUD. That would make it so damn easy and convenient.

It's fairly obvious not many people here have boosted a naturally aspirated car.... and a pov pack version at that.
This is where i originally mounted my gauges: But soon came to realise that having them down there is about as usefull as having s**t on a stick... and i dont recommend it at all. So ive moved them in recent times to the classic rice position, on the driver side A-pillar. Now have boost gauge and air/fuel (under ashtray in above pic) meter sitting in corner between dash and A pillar. Much better. Have removed oil pressure gauge.... legal concerns with mechanical so will get an electronic or XR dash.
