i m having some trouble trying to put a alpine cd player in my El Fairmont Ghia, i have got my old head unit of both of them, i was wondering if someone can help me, the cable at the back doesn't fit and the brackets don't fit either, what should i do?????

are you saying its too long?? and how dont the brackets fit? double din or single din?

double, the cable plug dont match one on my new deck, and teh bracket hoels dont line up to the one son the new deck

o ok well that means you have to rewire the plug, um your new unit should of came with a plug. what i did with mine was cut all the cables off the old plug and got out the crimpers and crimping tool read the colour coating and crimped them all together. i guess you could make up a new bracket so it will fit. and have you got any photo's of how it sits, and are you in melbourne?? might be able to help you install it.
