G'day fellas, and lasses.
got myself abit of s**t here, well two.
firstly does anyone know who to remove the end 1/4 bits next to the back seat on an EF cos i just found out the bracket for the boot strut has come off and needs to be welded back cos it like a game of russian roulette evertime i open the bloody boot

secondly to all those familiar with the the stock EF gas systems, any ideas why the car would just cut off when i stwich it to gas...would it be a converter prob??? I initially thought it was the computer but tried. It also p****d out gas (i think from the converter but cant be sure) when we tried to start it which scared the s**t outta me cos some clown must not have realised that gas + smoking = BANG

Thnx in advance

pretty sure to get them side seat peices off.. (considering thats what your talking about) you have to remove the seat belt and to do this you need a torx bit. (i think) from memory

I think he means the seat side bolster at the end of the rear pull down seat back
Remove rear seat, at the bottom of the bolster there is a bolt remove that. I'm not sure but you may have to remove the part that the seat back latches on too as well.

If you take out the rear seat (The part u sit on) and put the rear seat backs down flat, you are left with a piece each side which is called a bolster. Remove the bolt looking about half way up which the rear seat backs lock on too. remove the bolt at the bottom of the bolster.

Thats simple enough don't you think.

Thats it, remove bolt at bottom and the bolt/latch half way up.

Is the convertor freezing over?

If there is gas leaking from the convertor then it may need reco'ing

light a match and u should find out where the leak is coming from.. :P JOKING.

Anything with LPG I think should be taken to a LPG specialist as its a very dangerous fuel.. I wont touch it with a 6ft pole, might be different if i knew about it.

Seen alot of backyarder LPG DIY Gooroos go wrong.
