Hey hey,
I installed a trip computer into the EF the other week and since then i have noticed that the headlight alarm no longer works. (ie: when you turn the car off with the headlights on) did anyone else notice this? is it coincidence and something else carked it? am i missing something obvious? I was playing around with the high beam trigger cable from the combo switch at the same time, but i doubt that has anything to do with it as everything there works properly its annoying cause i know i will leave them on and flatten the battery some time soon!! |

Wasn't an issue when I did it, maybe conscidence, or shorted something else when adding the wire, did you change the instrument cluster plug, or just tap the wire in.

hrmm... okay then, does anyone know where i should be looking?
i added the wire to the existing plug. i dont think i shorted anything out. maybe thats worth looking into. the speaker on the back of the cluster still works cause the overspeed alarm beeps. actually, as i think about it now, the warning light on the cluster for lights on doesnt illuminate when i turn the lights on with the engine off either... i might look into that over the weekend and see if there is a cable that is damaged at all |
