My headlights wont turn off for some reason, I imagine it would a faulty switch, but it looks like i have to get in behind the dash to get it out.
Anyone know why they wont turn off? And if its the switch, how do I get it out of the dash?
cheers

Check the relay hasnt fused in the engine bay near the overflow bottle.

To remove switch:

Remove cluster, then remove the switches from the front of the switch, then undo the ring behind it, then push it into the dash and remove plug from the back of it, and replace/test.

That's a problem, try and do what "Dellboy999" said but if you are in-experienced then just take it to the dealer or a shop. If so and it's too late for today you may want to start up your car every 3 or so hurs so that the battery does not waste, as this can be a problem also if you have only one car. :P

i feel it would be more likely to be the relay though. maybe you could just unplug the lights but make sure the wires don't arc on the body of the car.

As you are in Sydney, might I recommend you try MacArthur Parts Plus in Narellean, near Campbelltown.

Phone 46461288 and you will get hold of Tony, Mark or Steve, (all great blokes). They should have one there on the shelves.

Mention you heard of them through Fordmods if possible, they know a few of the NSW members.

well, this is probably of no hope given how old this string is, but, did u check the main light switch??

in my dads car the dimmer switch had blown, it only took us a year and a half to figure out what it was, until we worked it out we cut all the wires to the stereo and dash which for some reason allowed the light themselves to work normally.
