Does the climate control light up at all? If so do a diagnostic and see what error codes it produces.

Yeh it all lights up, i'll have to wait till tomorrow night when i get the car and have a look.

Ran Diagnostic Mode and no errors were found... are EF/EL climate control units interchangeable? I have an EF one here i could try.
