id say it is the blend door motor. very common to go on EA-EL. it will come up with error code E2. this has happened to my ED and now to my Mates EA. changed this and now it actually heats up!!!

does your display flash when you turn the climate on? run it in diagnostic mode to see if it brings up any error codes.

Sounds like a vacuum hose has come loose. Had the same problem in my ED.

Mine has the same problem,

How do I put the CC into Diagnostic Mode? (EL Fairmont)

Where do I find the blend door motor?

the blend door motor is located on the passenger side behind the dash, it is on top of the heater box and can only be seen when the dash has been moved foward or is completly removed.
