gday i got a au mk 2 xls ute, and my windows are hard to wind up and wind down what things can i do to make them like new? their manual not electric.
i was also wonding if the xr utes had tweeters and if so where and can u fit them easierly to a xls with just wapping the trim pieces or something, and if the xrs have speakers behind the seats and if/ how easy they can be fitted to a xls.
any help with be much appretiated

Gidday mate, got an au1 ute myself , fitted some tweeters inside the vents on top of the dash at each end with a drop of super glue a couple of years ago and are still in place and working well also removed the manual winders and fitted power windows, a bit of silicone spray in the guides may help your windows operate a bit easier I also fitted speakers in the side panels behind the seats you may find the wires already in there, cheers

Rightio thanks buddy have u Hurd of the xr utes having tweeters in the door pillers, and how was was it to fit the speakers in the back? Coz I have taken out the rear panel and all their is a big hole and not much else.

I have the au1 and there were wires for the speakers wrapped up inside the panel but I fitted an amp and ran new speaker wires , just cut a hole in the panel and mount the speakers there. I think the fairmonts had tweeters in the pillars have a look on ebay.

Ok mate il have a look the pillars would be the same as the ute wont it?
