is the gear selector thing fully functionable ??

yah-huh it is greg! updates from the ECU every 1/2 second i believe, so its pretty much instant. P = Red, R = Orange, N = white i *think* D = green 3 = green 2 = green 1 = green - so runs right through

once the dimmer resistor has been added, and the wires to the respective doors, the cluster will be fully functioning! (hehe well, within reason :P )

the LED screen also shows 'CRUISE' and 'ECONOMY' on the screen when the respective buttons/switches are pressed. as for the other little features & quirks - yet to notice too much else - smartlock flashes on the left now, as the centre runner is left entirley for the gear selector display.

gunna make it blue soon?

have actually decided against doing it to this cluster - i think its quite a classy looking cluster, and looks good enough with std lighting for it. *may* have a play around with it down the line, but for now, it'll be staying stock. will be swapping my A/C controls over as well, to revert back from the blue to the stock look :)

does the ac controls use same led bulb holders thingy as the cluster?
if your selling how much :D

nah diff - some of the bulbs are actually contained within the A/C unit itself, so they can't be removed. i'm just going to do a straight swap with a mate who was just about to change his A/C over to blue. i do know of another A/C unit in blue if you are interested, but it has to be sold as one, due to the fact the bulbs can't be removed & sent over to you!

That's no good now you wont know which side the fuel door's on!

Seriously it looks good, is it possible to get the doors hooked up to it correctly?

yes it is - in theory, if all goes well, this weekend should see us hooking up the door sensors correctly, so the cluster will be (almost!) fully functioning! 8-)

Have a look at the 'door ajar' diagram. Not only will he know which side the door is on, also whether it is open or closed!

Also noticed that the red light at the E section of your fuel guage is dead as well ... seeing as all the other guages are lit up.

But all in all ... it's a nice cluster ... I wouldn't mind upgrading the cluster in my AU ... but the moment ... I'm happy with it.

Nice work anyway

The red on the fuel gauge doesnt light up at that ignition position.
If its low on fuel it will certainly tho.

How do I know?
A guess it most people jump in their car n look directly to see how much fuel they have - red light there would be misleading..?
Put it this way, im 120% positive that its not meant to, mine only comes on when i got roughly 15L of fuel left in the tank, same with my old fairlane too.
Do they light up in low series n mid series at start up? :?

As far as I know the low series do light up on start up ... but don't take my word for it.
