Did you know that the GLi and Futura are fitted with one low note horn and XRs, Fairmonts, Fairlanes and LTDs are fitted with are fitted with a pair of tuned horns. One has a high pitch and one has a low pitch.

Only just found that in the factory manual. I previously thought you'd of just had one horn but we live and learn.

I guess on the upspec models that the left button does one horn and the right does the other.

I know my Fairmont has two pads for horn(s), but don't all EF/EL steering wheels?

Yeah but I think the two buttons on GLis and Futuras operate the same horn where as on higher spec models they operate seperate horns.

I'm gonna check it out and see if I can tell the difference between the horn sounds.

AFAIK They don't operate seperately. They 'play' together, resulting in a note that a singel horn can't make.

Your probably right. Didnt think of that. Maybe thats what they meant about tuned horns.

go out and buy your self some air horns,

nope, datamine is right. You press either button and they both play high and low notes. Sounds good.
