Just came across this on ebay... {DESCRIPTION}

The pic that he's got on there... Image..

I'm just wondering, how'd he get that glowing look? is it just the photo shot that makes it look like that? or has he got really strong LEDs or something?

make the whole thing vacuum secure and pump in some inert gas =D im sure it will glow....yeah but seriously....i think he might have put some thin rubber tubing along the back and got some LEDs to shine into the tube to get the halo effect? just an idea.

phong =P~

Looks like he's got highly reflective paint to me. You can see the guages reflected back onto the plastic/paint.

Either that or it's as someone else said before - over exposure

judging by how "smudgey" and blurred the numbers look id say hes fiddled with the pic a bit, amped the brightness right up or something, that or hes just chucked 1 of them big blue neon bars behind it?

i'm actually going to say that that pic is geniune.

To me it looks like the cluster housing has been done in a glossy finish and is reflecting the light produced from the needles and facia.

They would be some pretty bright LEDs behind there :shock:

Would have to be something sub standard. The globes he's selling are just standard, so he's tricked it up some other way. I did mine in red and I bought a kit which has this long thin bendable tube that glows red, I rigged it up to run off a bulb socket so I didnt have to do too much work then I just wound it around all the dials behind the face of it, works great and gives it some extra glow.
