That's a peice of piss to do mate, did it myself aswell, get some Loctite Trim Cement (Repco or some other auto store - comes in a tube in a box), and get the vinyl, leather, fabric what ever you want to cover it with, cut out the size, leaving extra to roll over, paste down, put back on door - you just undo the staple things to get it off the door trim, and fold them back over to put back on. I did that, took me about an afternoon to do all 4. |

mate, where did you get the "plastic satin paint" from?
and did you sand the plastic smooth to rid of the rigid feel? thanks.

Yeah mate, the paints called "Septone" Vinyl and plastic paint, its an ultra priming paint, which means you dont need to apply a seperate primer as an undercoat. Iv painted a few diff surfaces in the last couple years and also hard wearing surfaces like door handles ect, and this stuff is really good, just make sure you apply very light coats as u probs already know, and never stop spraying on the part always stop the spray when its of the side, also apply about 5 thin coats, and if you wish to make it clear apply 2-3 light coats and dont touch for a minumum of 12-15 hours or you will leave fingerprints ay. Check out my new post its got more pics of my painting. Hooroo |
