just wondering what the most efective way of cleaning your seats as mine are getting pretty messy. is there something like those carpet cleaning machines that can be used in cars.
cheers

You can do it yourself using spray-on fabric cleaner (follow the directions on the can) or to do it properly have them STEAM cleaned - most Carpet Cleaners (see Yellow Pages) will have a fabric tool for doing this sort of work, and you can get your floor mats & carpet done at the same time
Some supermarkets have carpet steam cleaning machines for hire, I imagine they would have the fabric attachment for hire as well.

You can pull the material off the seats fairly easily and you can then wash them in the laundry sink or bathtub.
Someone had a thread on it recently, he owned a white EF XR6 from memory. Do a search for 'seats cleaning' or something.

yeah what Sturmovik and Falcs said. and that other person was me with my EL Fairy seats. i took them out and did some hard labour on it to get all the sand and s**t out and then the_scotsman tells me he did it this way......was worth washing it though. smelled better and looked much cleaner. but most effective way is the scottman way =D but of course u gotta pull the seats out which isnt that hard unless u have a REALLY narrow driveway.

Re tight driveways/garages: Pulling the drivers seat out of the passanger side is fun, even more fun when the bracket slices a nice cut in the door trim (luckily that was before I installed EL Ghia trims into my ED)
