hey guys i just got my fairmont(see pik gallery)
iv been pushing buttons but i cant get my cruse cortrol to work
its a standard ef fairmont interior the only upgrade is the stereo(love the 800watt amp) and my fuel gauge needs to be recentered how much does this cost and is that why the little range km thing keeps beeping at me???(because it thinks its empty???)

Top left button.... cruise on... get to speed required then press set...left side...if you need to brake press RES to resume cruise

also with the speed set, if you press "set +" it will increase speed by 2km/h. And if you press "set -" it will decrease speed by 2 km/h

is the beeping noise coming when you have less that 75kms or so left on the range on your trip comp? if it is, its the trip comp reminding you to fill up because you have very little fuel left

yes it beeps at 80km's left, then (i think)60k's, 40 and everything below 20. just press the reset button and it will stop beeping.

hey guys there is no cruse light turning on when i press the on button there was an alarm system removed before i got the car and a wire may have been cut any ideas where i should be looking for this wire?

I have been to 2km to empty. Was packing bricks untill i got to the nearest BP!

yeah ive had mine to like 3 or 3 kms to empty i didnt wanna stop at any lights until i got to a servo! ... but i'll never do it again....pick up all the s**t at the bottom of the tank and some one told me if u run it dry the ECU will need resetting :? either way its just eaiser to fill up eariler.

blown fuse? - also cruise will not engage if your speed is below 40kph

Never had a working gauge in mine, and ive had that to the point of filling it up with 73 litres. Also had it cutout on me about three times while going round croners or ont takeoff :D I can only just make it through 7 days it seems!
