My drivers door electric window had the plastic brake on the runner, so I found a good second hand one but now I am trying to get the wires from the winder motor to stretch far enough to go back on and they are not even close!

How on earth are you supposed to do it? I am buggered if I can work out how ford got it on there. I want to get it sorted as it is really embarresing pulling up to the tolls and having to get out or only remembering about it when you are already going through the macca's drive through
Cheers.

Happy, I have the motor and runner out of the door. It seems like the cable from the motor isn't long enough.

Mohekn, I find it funny now too but I didn't find it too funny at the time.
Cheers.

of course of course, i ment no disrespect by it! but picturing someone at the toll, with the window closed, and then trying to open it, and it just not happening, and then having to get out, like i was just visuallising it and found it funny, but once again, no disrespect, but its a good story to tell when you get it fixed :)

I had to do that trick once, coppers set up a .05 checkpoint 30 seconds up the road from the car wash, I didn't want to mark my (still wet) window so I opened the door. ;)

Perhaps they thought I wasn't even going to bother blowing... just get out and hand over the keys!
