My mates EB has a leaking Aircon Evaperator and he would like to take it out himself to save some money. So is there much involved in removing the dash, would someone have a guide or some steps to follow.

The safest way is to get a Gregorys/Haynes book and follow there pointers.
Dont be afraid to have a go, the dash will come out as a complete unit quite easily. Remove the console, drop the column and handbrake, and just start looking for the screws you need to undo. There might even be a tech doco on here about how to do it. Good luck.

still a poofter job lol hence why it would be so expensive to pay someone to do it. i know no labour costs as i've done all my car work to date myself, including maching of heads at work and i can assure you if i were paying someone to do it it never would have been on the road.
give it a go yourself but don't just give yourself a day to do it, you want a weekend at least, a full weekend devoted to the job at hand, better yet a long weekend, get a few mechanically minded mates over might cost you a carton or two of piss. still cheap labour !
