hello i just installed a scend hand ignition the part on the steering column including the wiring now it wont start and the smart lock light flashes how do i fix this thanks.

you need to reprogram the BEM. i think it's ignition on for half an hour or an hour, the door locks cycle and then you start the car or something. there is a doco on it somewhere here!

Smartlock requires the correct code from the ignition barrel for the car to start, as said leave the ignition on (windows down, doors shut, radio off ....) for 30 minutes on an EF or 1 hour on EL and wait for the door locks to cycle.
