hey,
was just wanting to know if/how to change the light around the ignition on a BA, I've changes all the other globes inside the car to white led's and want to make it match. I have pulled apart all the surrounding part of it but couldn't see how to change the globe. cheers.

I did this to my BA XR6 about 3 years ago in bright blue, matches my footwell neons and cluster illumination.
Pictures and instructions on my thread here: ford-interior-f14/keyhole-illumination-t59981.html |

Cheers, but how did you actually get to the globe, i have taken off the bit behind the steering wheel then saw the plastic but the light shines through but couldn't see how to get it off.
Might just have to take a proper look at it since it was dark when i looked

The plastic that the light comes through contains the globe, lock mechanism and other electronics (it's all one big piece). From memory it's held in by a single black screw and there's a ribbon cable attached to it also. Just undo the screw and unplug the cable and the entire key assembly will come out. From there, it should be pretty self-explanatory to get to the globe.
