My brothers car (Proton Satria GTi) is having problems with its indicators, i havent looked at the car as of yet so i cant determine the problem. His indicators dont work at all and when you press the hazzard button you have to push the button 5 or so times for it to work, i asked him to check fuses and he said they are all fine. The bulbs are fine as he can get them to work on the hazzard button if he presses it a few times, but the indicators never work from the indicator lever. sounds f**k weird to me, i was thinking that maybe the hazzard button runs on the same rail as the indicator lever and theres just some dodgey wiring in the steering column, but im not sure???? any help would be greatly appreciated...

Yeah i would do the same rplace the flasher unit. The relay coil can become faulty and simply not click! it then doesnt allow the contacts to work.

Being a modern car they wouldnt be using the old style can flasher unit, its more likely to be a square relay looking type that just jacks in. The car user manual should state where it is.
