Hi all, the past few days it has been raining non stop down here. And well that brings me to my problem..
When i open the boot after it has been raining, where the boot latch is and the surrounding area, water is getting thru somehow and is going all over the place!! i have an amp and sub in the boot too, so this could cause a serious electrical problems if it were to get any worse. I really have no idea where its coming from, my GUESS is that its leaking water thru the screw holes where the spoiler is.... Should i tighten these up and mabe place some silicone around them? I will take a picture of it and post it up asap to give you a better idea of what im talking about. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Andrew

Um well looking closer thier isnt really all that much rust around the spoiler, looks maily like surface rust but i can clean that up..
Im guessin removing the spoiler is pretty straight forward... Disconnect the wiring for the light.. then just undo the screws... Cheers

Upon further inspection i found out the leaks are coming from the stupid black grommets from the number plate... yeah weird i know but thats where all the water has been coming out from... So i sillicone sealed them up and hope for the best now. If that didnt fix the problem then it must be the middle part of the spoiler with the leak...

I had the SAME problem ... Water was getting inside the rear garnish .
what i ended up doing was taking the garnish around (yeah its all glued together) and regluing the whole thing back together, and using lots of silocne around it . Its annoying when you open your boot, and around the latch it turns into a water fall! |
