Cheers What front bench seat d**k? or like rear cargo? if front, not as i know but because ford brought out these from factory for big familys and taxi's it is just simple as changeing the seats... no need to f**k a** around for rego if rear i assume not as most 4x4 places do conversions from all kind of cars.... but maybe if you got to drill holes etc to fit then maybe

Yes, the rego will need to be adjusted to reflect the increased number of seats.

not on ours it says nothing we told the insurance company that was it .we had an ea wagon with one in the back the guy who done the pink slip was going to knock it back because it was not on the rego papers so i rang the rta engineers section and thay told me if the car was safe to get a pink slip he had to pass it. the seat had nothing to do with the saftey of the car even thought it was a seat

It would not be a saftey issue for the RTA but an insurance issue.

we had an XF with a d**k seat in the back it is a saftey issue as they have to cheak to make sure its sacure and that the belts are ok same with the rest of the seats in the car. i had to replace 1 time 2 bolts that held it into place on one side before they would pass for pink

Generally it is the same as any major mod. You need a mod plate. You can install yourself, but you will need to use new A grade bolts (keep the receipt as the engineer may want to check) and you need to mount the seat belts properly, etc. Best bet would be speak with the local engineer that certifies conversions (like manual to auto, etc) and see what they need.
Mine now has two mod plates, d**k seat and LPG. cheers Scott

Well mine has a QLD mod plate as the seating capacity has increased. My rego sticker also shows the increase in seating capacity.

Didn't ford come out with a stock d**k seat that attached to the anchor points in the back of the wagon?

Thanks for the replies guys, looks like a grey area. might give them RTA and insurance comp a call to confirm what is required.
