they do not exist, its a boss kit you are after, but removal of the factory airbag unit is 100 illegal. If your car comes standard with an airbag wheel, you cannot remove it. about all you can go is go for other wheels that were installed in ef-au's,

If you don't give a rats about legalities, then you are searching for a boss it. I think the boss kits that suit EA-ED will be suitable for the task you are trying to complete.

1. Did your model come standard with an airbag fitted? If yes, it is illegal to remove that wheel to replace it with one without an airbag.

2. If not, what you require is known as a boss kit. Your wheel should have come with one. Boss kits are normally wheel/brand specific.

Note: If you choose to replace the wheel even if you have an airbag you WILL NOT pass rego with it.

You can get a boss kit for ef/el and I guess all model cars its just they arrnt legal, super cheap can get them in as my ef came with one.one of the first things I posted on this forum was, how to get rid of it and fix the air bag light issue. Ive even seen a ve with the stoko wheel removed and boss kit fitted

Yeh it's a real downer when they put something in your car to save your life. Airbags are there for a reason, there are a few good wheels getting around to suit your car and the airbag still fits up, ie - XR Momo wheel, AU Fairlane woodgrain, Autotec in Melb do one, look around you might be suprised.

yeah sorry to be the bearer of bad new champ, its not worth the a** raping you will get if caught with it. As mentioned you can defiantly get a boss kit to suit, it will simply state something along the lines of, not for road use, Motorsport use only or similar.

Putting stuff in that is not design reg approved can yeild very bed results. you need to look that whatever you install in your car meets the ADR's that were to be complied with at the time your car was released.

If you dont care about legallities check Ebay for a Boss kit for a XH ute.
It will fit and bolt up as not all XH's come with scare bags. We are lucky that ours is one of them , but we still run a standard EL XR wheel as they are a good thing.

if it one of them supercheap steering wheels like it looks like, they are flimsy at the top and not very good to drive with anyway, my car came with a upa cheap one and i took it off and fitted a decent one my dad had in his garage until i got the info to put the stoko air bag back in

because they are legal on pre airbag cars etc.
they use to build cars without 300 computers and 50 airbags, even no seatbelts
