got a ser 1 au xr8 and trying to fit a ser 2 xr8 instrument cluster. all works ok but no oil pressure and oil warning light comes on, with ser2 instrument cluster. all works ok with ser 1 instrument cluster in.

does the series one have the oil pressure on it, if so the cause could be in the new cluster and if not the problem would be ovdevioues

yes the ser 1 has a oil pressure gauge and it works ok

Maybe you need to convert the pressure to a sender like when upgrading E series ones.

no already has a sender. and checked with ford the part number for ser 1 and ser 2 are the same, i'm at a loss hopefully someone here will be able to help

anyone know if in a ser 2 xr the wires are in the same place in the plugs as in a ser 1 xr for the instument cluster
