Are the EF Futura inside handles able to be taken off?

? as in out of the surround itself? i'm assuming you mean separating the actual handle from the triangular surround it comes in? if so, then yes - there is a pin i think on the top where the handle swings - i have a few spares at home that i'll be pulling apart, so will let you know the easiest way!

Nah your missing me here Bob I think.
Not chrome handles I already done them but somethign else. When you go to get out of the car you push the door open with this. Gli's have a little hole in them perfect for a phone holder. Futuras are rounded and have no hole. Am I making sense here? |

ahhh! i see now! lol why didn't ya just say arm rests then?
yes they can be taken off - from memory there is a bank of screws which hold them on? take the door trim off & it should be easy enough to see.

easy as - lol at the current rate, mine are getting pulled off every week! there are a series of screws around the outside of the trim - undo all of these. you will (on the drivers side) need to pull off the button for the electric mirrors. also remove the door handles. remove the 2 plugs on the arm rests, and you will see there are 2 screws under these plugs - remove these screws. you will also need to remove the screws from the triangular plate in the corner. pull off the door lock button as well. this is pretty much the trim removed & undone - you will just need to pry it off, pushing up from underneath to pop it out from around the window. then unplug the connection for the power windows on the drivers side getting back on is the reverse - the only difficult bit is refitting the locking buttons to get them sitting flush. you will need to pop them on, and then screw them down on the thread - it will make more sense when you start playing around with it!
