Certainly is possible.
Couple of options out there. You can either buy ready made LED bulbs (festoon/wedge/bayonet) that are a direct replacement for the standard incandescent bulbs. Not real cheap and rarely very bright. Option 2, if your handy with a soldering iron and enjoy fiddly stuff, is to buy the individual diodes & resistors from an electronics shop or ebay (good bulk prices) and modify your interior light the way you want it to be. Power supply is already there and the interior light housing & cover have enough room to fit a few LEDs inside. I've done mine using 5mm wide-angle, bright (13k mcd) blue LEDs, 10 of them at various angles where the festoon bulb used to be and 2 in each of the map lights. The LEDs & wiring have all been hotglued to the light housing to prevent any movement. I'm making up another one with the LEDs flush mounted into the light cover to see if it looks any better. And welcome to the forums

Matey I can post you a 10 pack of blue LEDs suitable for your cluster if you'd like for $20 posted.
You only need 6 to do the backlights in the cluster, 1 for the odo, 1 for the clock or 2 if you have a trip computer. ford-interior-f14/pics-of-blue-led-dash-el-falcon-t78185.html That thread is very useful, I just noticed my images are down, I'll reupload them. They just show how mine turned out. |

The LEDs I have are plug and play, though you do have to file off a mm or two off the head of them.
Odo=odometer=km reading, bottom centre of cluster. They are single LEDs. Footwells in mine are actually neons, tapped into the interior lighting wires which live in from behind the CD player area somewhere. |
